All successful managers use a pattern of consistent habits that when combined can be called a “workflow” or “routine.” These routines help them to not forget things and create chaos by making others have to pick up the slack. Having these habits or routines can create a consistently high functioning unit. Without consistent habits, some days are going to be better than others, and you never know which days are going to be the good ones. I have been this manager. I recognize these symptoms with some of my earlier managing gigs. You will get here, too, but at least you, if you watch these free videos and put them into use, you will be on your way to better days with more consistent results with proper practice. Without these classes, this level may be the best level you ever get to in this business. The choice is yours. Good luck.

These videos are a general template for creating a successful management workflow, or routine. A routine helps you be seen as being everywhere and knowing everything that is going on and directing people to be most productive.

Obviously I am not familiar with your particular department or company or number of people you will supervise, but watching these videos will give you a great insight into how to successfully manage a frontline business.

Try to incorporate as much of these videos as you can, because as you can see, not many supervisors are doing much of any of these things currently, which is exactly why the current work environment is so bad.

These videos are very short, so try to watch them every day and make the techniques they show you, your habit.
